Hi again, I was wondering if at 6 months post-op if anyone has the issue of not feeling full. Sometimes I feel full and sometimes I dont'. Also, I can eat a large amount of food meaning a couple cups of salad and 4 oz of chicken or tuna for one meal. Isn't that a lot? Thanks for your help. Karen

I had the same concern about salad at one point. I was told that b/c most of a salad (the lettuce and such) is basically water that it disolves in your stomach easier than other foods. Now, 4 ozs of meat does seem to be alot for 6 months out. I was told to eat slowly to allow your stomach enough time to realize that you are full. If you are really concerned about it, maybe you should try that and/or talk to your nutrionist.

Hey Karen, I was going through that on and off for awhile. I am still sometimes. I feel full when I eat more solids, like meat, veggies. When I do the soft stuff or liquids I get more hungry and less full. I think that is why. The doc said I should eat more substantial foods proteins (meats and veggies) do stay full. If your concerned give your doctor a call. They might want to change your menu. Hope this helps. Hugs KimC

I agree with Kim. Eat more solid foods, do not replace a meal with a protien drink. I use low carb protien as a suppliment to my regular meals. Be suprized how full a hard boiled egg will make you. Take Care and good Luck! Julio
