Febuary 9th is my BIG DAY!!!

I am SOOOOO excited but also a bit nervous. Any tips for after surgery.I had a C-section two years ago is Lap Band the same pain or not so bad?????

Your profile says you're from NY, did you know this is the CT board? Do you live here or are you on the border? Hi Beth, good luck . I had a crash c-section in 1991 (nice long scar/belly to beyond) and had a lap RNY on jan 31st (6 days ago) and I have to say the pain is tolerable....I have a bad reaction to Morphine (I had a pca pump to help with pain but found that I did better OFF Morphine) I went home last Thur on liquid demerol and have used 1/2 teaspoon since I got home (when I tried to twist the wrong way in my sleep...OUCH!!!) But, honestly it's not Terrible with the RNY but I guess it depends on your tolerance......either way you end up with the most incredible small thing after surgery (c-section=little baby/band=little belly) good luck....WATCH OUT FO THE GAS BUBBLES!!!!

Thank you for your input. I have two days to go now and I am getting more nervous. I think I do real good with pain, so I am hopping it wont be to bad . I have 5 Great kids to help me. Well I have 4 kids to help me with my 2 year old.
