Hi Everyone - I recently posted some really cute pictures of my son on my profile to always keep in mind one of the main reasons why I'm on this journey - and that is to live to see him grow and to be able to be more active with him! I was just thinking how it would be so cool to have a winter weather hobby - since we live in New England and that when I finally lose weight I want to take up cross country skiing - I was also thinking that I'm going to surprise my husband and take up golfing when I lose enough weight for the warm weather so we can golf together and when my son is old enough the three of us can go golfing together - my weight has been keeping me from being physical my entire adult life - at least as a child I could do stuff even though I was fat, now as an adult I can't because I'm in pain! I'm so sick of pain......it must feel so good to move in your body and love the feel of the movement! I can't say I hate my body - I just hate the fat that covers it, actually I'm quite proud that my body has taken this much abuse and has survived! Okay sorry about my tangent - I'm usually pretty quiet here - I just thought I would share the pictures of my son with you guys because I'm so proud of him - oh and I put a picture of my husband too (I adore him too!). I'm so looking forward to getting my surgery date - My appointment with Dr. Barba is on 2/9! I'm also full of anxiety about Cigna denying me, I put a poll up on the Cignasqueakywheel yahoo group and 9 people answered so far - 7 of them who had gone through the 6 month doctor supervised diet got denied and had to appeal - only 2 got approved the first time! The odds of getting approved the first time through are not in my favor - but I'm going to try to be optomistic and hope that I'm in the minority of cigna customers! Okay - enough babbling from me for now Have a great weekend everyone! Warm Regards, Tammy

Babble away Tammy! That's why this message board is here. Future plans are just as much a driving force to keep you focused on your weight loss "Journey" as anything else. Keep fighting the good fight to get your approval and remember you will be making choices every day that will bring that future you seek closer every day! Good Luck and Best Wishes! Julio

Hi Tammy! Your son is SOOOOOO adorable! You SHOULD be proud of him!! Mine just turned 5 in December... he is the light of my life, and my inspiration for everything!!!! Without him even knowing it, he has inspired me to leave my first husband and seek out a better life for us, and he's inspired me to loose weight and become a better, healthier, happier person!! Kids are just SO awesome Good luck with your appointment on the 9th!! And I wish you continued success on your journey! --CJ 250/174/140 non-op

Thank you CJ - I just read and responded to your post! Thanks for the good wishes. You are an inspiration with your determination to make your life the way you want it to be, I know how stressful it is going back to school, while raising a child, working and being in a commited relationship! I'm just 3 classes away from my Masters and am considering going all the way to PhD...... I'm thinking that the extra energy from the WLS will help get me through! Thanks again! Best Regards, Tammy
