Dr. Barba Support Group

I went to the bypass support group meeting last night with my friend who had the bypass in October. Dr. Barba was there the entire time and spoke for most it and he is just a wonderful man. He has really good energy about him and he's so approachable. I'm so glad I went to the meeting, it just made me more confident with my decision. It was nice because the group was rather small so it was a great forum with some excellent questions and support going on. He also had another doctor there (I forgot his name) who did some Tia Chi demonstrations for us and talked about the mind/body connection - it was really a great meeting! That sounds awesome Tammy!!!! St. Francis is a wonderful caring hospital. I wish I could get to the support meetings but I dont have a babysitter on tues nights.................thank goodness for this board!!!! Dr. Giovanni did my surgery and shes fantastic!!! Tammy, I believe that the Doctor that you are talking about is Dr. Ellner. He is working with Drs. Barba & Giovanni. He really is wonderful too. Jessica

Thanks Jessica - that's the name - Dr. Ellner - he was REALLY nice! Actually he sent around a sign-up sheet for anyone who would be interested in taking tai chi classes that he said he would teach........I put my name down, hopefully he'll offer them at a time that I can go. I used to take tai chi years ago and it is a really great way to excercise it's easy on the joints and good for the mind! Have a great day! Best Regards, Tammy
