Thank you CT! I found a PS!

I want to thank everyone for their input on finding a plastic surgeon. I had a consult today and absolutely knew in my heart that he was the right surgeon for me. Thank you MaryJo for your glowing recommendation - I am using Dr. Goodkind and am so excited. And thank you MaryJo for all of your help & patience with me and my 100's of questions!! Hi Kristin I am so glad you found your PS doctor who you are feeling comfortable with. Let me know when you will have this PS ? I might have this in August and maybe we will be on same month to have this and support each other through email!!! Hope to meet you on March 4th! Hugs Kathy k

I am actually hoping to have it at the end of this month! We'll see if everything can come together. My kids will be between sports and it would be a really good time for me -- healed by summer, etc. I will definately post before & afters though. What is going on March 4th? Here is your information that I am talking about The 2nd annual WLS Spring Gala will be held on Sat., Mar. 4th (which is 6 wks. from Sat.), from 7 p.m. till midnight. This is a fundraiser for A.S.B.S., just like the Walk from Obesity which is held annually in Sept. Once again this year the dance will be at Il Monticello (on the Meriden-Wallingford line). For $20 per person, we get a DJ and bountiful hors d'oeuvres. There'll be enough variety (including high-protein selections) and quantity to be dinner, even for non-ops. There'll be a cash bar and, like last year, there'll be non-carbonated, non-caffeinated, non-alcoholic, low-calorie choices (besides water) for those who want them. The dance is open to everyone, even if they have no idea what WLS is. (Since it's a fundraiser, we'll take money from anyone. ) Last year we had a pretty good turnout from this board; hopefully even more will come this year. Please tell your friends, too. Some people are coming with significant others, but there are plenty who'll be coming alone, so don't hesitate to come either way. Tickets will be available at some of the support group meetings in the area and Carla Minutillo and I also have tickets for sale. If you're interested, let Carla or me know and we'll figure out whether you should mail a check or if you might be seeing one of us at a meeting. Since you will have this surgery end of this month , there will be next gahtering party this summer. Hope to see you on March 4th if you can make it!

That sounds like so much fun!!! I got a call from the office - my surgery will be either 2/28 or 3/1 - so I don't think I'll be ready for dancing yet...but if it is delayed until the next week, I could probably make it! Hi Kristin, I am happing to hear that your consultation went well. How were the prices? I need to pay out of pocket since my insurance does not cover plastic surgeries. I want to really get my tummy done this summer... Thanks Magaly
