How fast did you get approved?

I am still waiting to hear back from Anthem (CT) about my lap-band surgery. Lois submitted my paperwork last Tuesday and I called anthem today. Turns out it is still pending. I am scheduled for surgery Feb. 3 and hopefully it will be approved soon! Anyone else have this experience?

I HAVE ANTHEM AND THEY DENIED ME THE FIRST TIME ECAUSE SOMEHOW THEY THOUGHT THAT I WAS HAVING THE LAP BAND. THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE RESUBMITTED THE PAPERWORK WITH THE CORRECTED CODES AND IT WAS APPROVED ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER. GOOD LUCK.

I have anthem of MN and I got approval for my RNY with in a week or so. Don't quote me but I think they are harder on approval for bands. But, if it can be done, Lois and Stacy will get it done. Hang in there. Hugs, Chrissy

I was called on a Thursday and asked if I could get the surgery on the following Tuesday!. Anthem had not even approved yet. I asked and I was approved overnight. Anthem is good, so stay with Lois and keep in touch so that she will know your name. Good Luck! BlkNectar

This is so funny. Lois called around 2:45 to let me know I had been approved! Looks like it's on! Thanks for all the support guys!
