Calling Dr. A later but wondering if anyone else had this....

I have this pain on my right side and near my middle up near my scar. It only hurts when I try and lift something or if I bend to low. I did shovel snow yesterday, I wonder if I pulled a muscle. Any thoughts? hugs, Chrissy

yeah its normal you should have worn the binder if you didn't- I felt the same kind of pulling/pain after working all weekend Its just the scar tissue doesn't flex like regular tissue and muscle does. It gets better with time.

Hi Chrissy, If it doesn't get better in a few days, call Dr A. You don't want to give yourself a hernia. It may just be a pulled muscle, maybe something more. It takes a long time to heal internally. You have sutures about one to two inches on either side of your incision. You may have just pulled on one of those and the scar tissue may have been pulled or irritated. I remember telling Dr A that I had a pain or funny feeling on the left side about one inch or so from my incision and he told me that up and down the incision are internal "stitches/sutures" that are really holding the incision closed... Use some heat on it to see if it helps and you can take the Tylenol Rapid Release pills to take the edge off. Paula
