my band has slipped

Just wondering if anyone out there has had this same issue.  I am 4 years out from my lap band, was doing great had lost 90 pounds.  The beginning of this year I noticed that my weight was starting to creep up and I could eat much more than I should.  Then I started to experience severe reflux to where it would wake me up at night then the vomiting started.  I ended up having a endoscopy just recently for the second time, this time done by my band Dr. and he found the band has slipped.  It has slipped to where it was pushing against my esophagus which was causing the reflux.  Because of this, I now have my band deflated, which is so scary because I have already gained too much weight back.  My doctor did say that most people that this happends to, they end up having to go back in to have the band put back.

Has anyone had to deal with this before or does anyone know someone who has.  I need help.

My brothers friend had this happen to him. I heard it's a common risk with the band.

did he have to have it redone?  What did he end up doing? 

Yeah, he had it fixed.

do you know if he had to have it released for a while to see if it would go back on its own, like they are doing with me.  Or did he just have it redone right away?  Is everything going ok for him now?

Sorry you have to go through this - I bet the band board has a bunch of people who have gone through this and can probably give you some insight on their experiences.
