Today I decided to walk the trail to the tower at Sleeing Giant. I was coming down the hill and there was a brief moment when I felt it was floating or flying rather than walking, and it can be attributed to the weight loss. It's just amazing to feel the difference from the last time I walked the same trail, perhaps 2 years ago. ...and then on the way home I turn on the radio and hear the theme from Rocky, which kind of made sense. One more major physical goal to go. Dave

Thank you. No, if anything, this whole exerience has been the opposite of proud. More like "thanks for a second chance". Luckily I figured out what to do with my down time during the holidays before I self-destructed. Dave

bravo my man! Yes... that Rocky theme was a confirmation of sorts. keep up the great work. I remember walking up that trail during one of my grandson's outings with the boyscouts and afterwards wanting to RUN... for the first time postop... the body is coming alive again... wonders never do cease. what is the other physical goal you speak of? Yes, we did Sleeping Giant in Scouts too, way back when. I was speaking of running consistently. I would like to do a mile each morning, but it still feels too awkward physically. Things should "tone up" enough soon, though. Dave

Dave: I am thinking that awkward is to be expected... That is how I take it with each new venture and triumph I take physically... even emotionally on this wild and crazy ride I find myself on since my surgery. I am about to try something I only dreamed of before surgery in a couple of weeks... I am going to do a rappel over the canopy of trees in Ocho Rios. Actually I would not have been allowed to before... I weighed to much and would not have qualified to do it! So awkward as it will (I AM soooo SURE!) feel... I am going to attempt it at the very least. I must be out of my mind... but wild and silly out of my mind with abandon that I now can even attempt to be that physical. T.

Dave, that's great! I love Sleeping Giant. Maybe when the weather warms up a bit, we can plan a group outing? Tammy

It will be hitting the low 50's this week, supposedly. A group outing there or possibly in the other direction (the West Hartford/Farmington Reservior) would be welcome! Dave
