Healthy Indulgence calcium

I got a couple of samples of Healthy Indulgence calcium supplements last night at Stop and Shop. For those of you who hate chalky chewables and aren't big fans of Viactiv chews, you might want to give these a try. They look - and better, TASTE - like those litte foil-covered chocolate balls. Not like some kind of fake chocolate, they tasted like the real thing. And this opinion comes from a confirmed chocoholic! They come in dark and milk chocolate. They DO contain sugar, so RNYers might not be able to use them. Each serving of two contains 50 calories, 4g of fat, 120% of RDA of calcium and vitamin D. I'm sure they're not for everyone, but some of you might want to give them a try. The new Stop and Shop on Tunxis Hill Road in Fairfield has a small Wild Oats "health" section, and they were giving out free samples of a lot of things last night, including breakfast bars, shake mixes, and vitamin C "gummi bears".

Actually, RNY'ers shouldn't take them because they do not contain CALCIUM CITRATE. Because the Healthy Indulgence chocolate balls are loaded with Calcium Carbonate they will not be readily absorbed and will provide little absorbable calcium to gastric bypass patients.
