Approved for Panni!!!!

Hi everyone, I just got approved by my insurence for a Panniculectomy.But I keep getting told that I should see various PS before settling for one. Can anyone recommend a good PS in CT? Also, did anyone pay the difference to get an Abdominoplasty instead of just the Panni? How Much? Thank you all so Much!!!

Jonathon Schreiber, M.D. is a wonderful surgeon and a lovely (and cute!) man. Charles Castiglione, M.D. has an office in Hartford; he specializes in various reconstructive procedures and is also a certified hand specialist. Do you mind if I ask whether your panni approval was because you had a hernia or other problem? Good luck with your surgery, and let's hear all about it afterwards. Mary

Hey Sharon, Congratulations on your approval for your surgery. Good luck and god bless. I don't know many plastic surgeons, you can check St Raphaels and Yale New Haven. I know there is one in Milford Hospital that MaryJo Rak is having her tummy tuck done with. She is an OH member you can email her or check with Kathy K who is having hers done soon. Hi Sharon Mary Jo 's insurance pays half for her full abdominoplasty and she paid half from this. I am still processing to do my paperwork with my insurance company and will let you know if they will pay full or half in next month. Bob just send his paperwork to his insurance and he will find out soon if they will pay full or half from his surgery coming soon this month. Good luck on your researching.. Where do you come from? What town then we can give you the name of our PS in Ct.? Mine is Dr John Borkowski and he have three offices in Middletown, Essex and Madison. He have alot of experience to use gastric bypass patients but I m sure other people will give you other PS doctors names to you. Good Luck! Kathy K

Kathy K, my doctor IS Dr.Borokowsi out of Middletown! I just met him one time, last month, he took pictures of my panni and I just got the letter stating that I was approved. My concern with him is that he stated that because of a exixting scar in my upper abdomen he cannot perform a full abdominoplasty. In answer to the previous question, NO I did not have any rashes, hernias or anything! I am just as surprised that I got APPROVED! I guess it was because my panni hangs a bit below the pubis.

Hi Sharon, It won't hurt to go for second opinion for other PS Doctors to see what they said about your upper abdomen after this people will give you their PS doctors s names. Good Luck! I have very bad rashes and my lower back bothers me because of extra skin hang over. I will thinking of you Kathy K
