Final P/S Consult today

Well, boys and girls, today was my final consultation with the plastic surgeon. Came home with ANOTHER set of marker marks all over me! I swear I'm going to buy that doc a whole case of Sharpies! Surgery scheduled for Monday 1/16/06, be at the hospital bright and early(6am), showtime is 7:30. YIKES!! Off to see my regular doctor next Thursday for him to sign off on everything than it's full steam ahead! It has seemed really far off for a while, but it's not. I'm getting nervous and excited and worried and scared and and and and. Any words of wisdom for me?? Talk to you all soon, Have a safe and Happy New Year!! Bob

Robert, that is SOO awesome!! I bet you're really excited, huh!?!? You're having a full abdominoplasty, right?? Who's your insurance provider? Did they cover it, or are you self-paid?? You'll definately have to keep us posted on how it goes! Don't be nervous or scared... think of it as coming around the back-stretch... racing for that checkered flag, ya know? This is the culmination of lots and lots of hard work, determination, and devotion... it's finally paying off, and when all is said and done, you will at last be able to really SEE that Robert in the mirror that you FEEL on the inside. Hi CJ- To answer your question, I have submitted everything to my insurance, I'm hoping they'll pay fo, at least, part of it, but I am prepared to pay for the whole thing. I have already sold a kidney, and there are orders pending on a few other internal organs We've sent pictures off to them and are now just waiting to hear. If anyone is interested, I have a perfectly good spleen that can be YOURS, if, as Bob Barker would say, "the price is right" Have a great holiday! Bob

Hi Robert! First off congratulations! You are going onto another part of this weight loss journey! I am really knowing how you feel right now! I am actually going in on Tuesday January 3rd...Happy New Year to me! I am having a full abdominoplasty. I was lucky enough to have my insurance pay for half of it! Hopefully yours will cover too! I am so excited.....and scared at the same time...it is weird, I was not nervous at all for my WLS, I just was excited and wanted to get it done and I am more nervous over this! But like the Surgeon told me......this is only skin they are working with..just think our wls they messed around with our insides......it put me a little at ease...! I wish you the best of luck! What a way to start off the new year! We have all worked hard to get where we are and we deserve to feel our best and finish our journey! The Dr told me he expects to take about 10 pounds of skin from me! I was like Holy cow! I'll let u know how I make out! The thing I am nervous about is afterwards and recovery...I have an 18 month old and 28 month old sons...that we adopted..we got our first one with me 10 days post wls....anyway...they love to jump on mommy and use me for a trampoline and love hugging me etc.....it is going to be hard to keep them away ...I have to stay hidden......that will be the hardest part for me..... Hey Bob, Congratulations. I am so happy for you that is so awesome your having this done. I can't wait until I am able to do that too. I still have alittle ways to go to reach my goal and then I want to have the surgery too. Unfortunately I don't think my insurance covers it, but I do have alittle stocked away incase. Hi Bob... You know you have my best wishes for an uneventful surgery...you will make it through this just fine. And as I've told you before, you're gonna be trim, tucked and gorgeous!! You should be so excited to be taking your final step of the journey!! Are you going to play show and tell tonight with your marker marks?
