Hi there Michelle!! Let me say this... growing up my periods were always normal. Every 28 days like clockwork. And only last 4 days.. 1+4 light, 2+3 heavy. Even when I was 250 lbs, I still had normal, predictable monthly Aunt Flow. BUT! Once I started losing weight, my periods got all haywire. They are SO unpredictable now. I hate it hate it hate it! PLUS, I never had problems with cramping before, and now, there are days where I feel like I want to DIE. And my horomones are so out of wack too, it's driving me crazy!! I don't know WHY this is... or even how it correalates to weight loss... or what to do about it. But if you find out, let me know!!! But my main point, you're not alone on this one chicky!!! --CJD

Thank you all for your input & support. It sounds like some of us are having the same out of wack hormonal, out of schedule, cramping, bloating, crankiness... I'm glad I'm not alone and there are some simularities. I think for now I'll see my PCP as my last years exam was normal..& will take my time to find a new GYN...it sounds like majority of you like the New Britian network..but that's a pretty long hike from my neck of the woods...sigh... I haven't had an overall physical since the surgery so it'll be good to get a complete check-up to see where I'm at. PS...Of course my "friendly visitor" came this morning...LOL...typical... Thanks ladies..Ya'll are the best! Mickey

Hey there Mick... How well do you like your PCP??? I go to a family practitioner... he does everything -- pediatrics, geriatrics, ob/gyn etc etc... so I only have to go to ONE Doc for all of my needs (and my family's!). Makes life MUCH easier... this way I don't have to explain my life story to a million different doctors. He knows my medical history with every part of my life... it's very convienient. If your PCP isn't a licsenced OB/GYN... then I'd HIGHLY recommend going to get yourself a family practitioner!! Also, let me tell you... I absolutely HATED doctors for YEARS. Then I found one FINALLY that I liked. The first male one I tried, I liked. And now I have a new one -- male. My point being... I found that males treat female patients MUCH better because they DON'T know the feeling, so they are extremeley sympathetic to YOUR needs and making sure they go to great lenghts to get you as comfortable as you desire. The females I've gone to in the past had the attitude of "I'm a female too, and if I can deal with it, so can you..." If you know what I mean... ugh. --CJ
