Surgery Scheduled with Dr. R.

Hi,
Just wanted to share that my surgery is scheduled w/ Dr. R for June 16th. He asked me to do additional testing with a hematologist to double check for blood clotting issues. If all comes back ok I will be heading to St. Francis on the 16th.

CONGRATULATIONS!  You're in very good hands with Dr R.  June 16th is right around the corner... it's very normal to be anxious & nervous..

Both of you have given me a lot of knowledge and comfort. June 1st I go to see Andrea (RN) and on the 2nd final appointment w/ Dr. R. Haven't received results from Hematologist but have an appointment the 28th. I am looking forward to surgery but of course all the "what ifs" are dancing around in my head.
Will keep you posted.

Thanks for the good wishes but unfortunately Dr. R called and said my insurance denied my request for WLS. There were some errors of weight from my PCP and I was denied.

Dr. R spoke to my PCP and said he would try to work with the insurance company but was unsure if I was eligible. Will have to wait and see.

What a huge disappointment - I can only imagine how you are feeling right now. After going through appointment HELL and now this at the end - appeal it if you have to - fight, fight, fight for your approval!
