Hello Everyone, I just wanted to update everyone about my eating problem and my visit to my Doctor. Well it wasn't anything I was doing. Apparently I have a stricture. I will be scheduled for the procedure to stretch my pouch opening. Until then I am staying with the soft foods I know I can tolerate. But I did lose another 3 pounds!! My blood pressure is great without the medication. My PCP took me off of my blood pressure medication about 3 weeks ago. So I am pleased. Thanks you everyone for all the replys and all the infomation everyone gave me. I really appreciate it. And Jessica, I will definately call you if I have a problem. Thank You so much for helping me. Take care everyone and have a Wonderful Christmas!!! Hugs, Sarah

Hi Beth, They haven't scheduled me yet. Holidays and such. I can't wait though. You had your surgery 10 days after me. Thats great. How are you doing? My first month I ate oatmeal, cream of wheat, light yogurt, scrambled eggs. After 2 weeks I ate tuna with mayo, tomato soup, chicken noodle soup, chicken salad. Now I eat anything. Ravoli, thin sliced deli meat, oodles of noodles, toast, 2 % milk with cherrios. And I love the dole sugar free juice pops!! Its all trial and error. Dr. Barba gave me the o.k. to do this. Did you have your 1 month check up yet? How are you doing? Did Dr. Barba tell you how to continue eating? I have lost 45 pounds so far. I am so excited about it. Let me know your progress, Stay in touch, Have a Merry Christmas, Sarah

what is a stricture? Forgive me for asking, but I have no idea. Bree

Hi Bree, I didn't know what a stricture was either. It is when the opening to your stomach starts to shrink. So it is hard for food to pass through. They put you to sleep like they do for the endoscopy, and put a thing down your throat that has a balloon at the end. And they blow up the balloon and streatch the opening to your stomach. It is not painful and you don't feel anything. I talked to someone that had it done. I can't wait to get it done so I can eat different foods again. Thanks for your concern, Have a nice Christmas, Sarah
