Thank you everyone for the response. I have no trouble drinking liquids, and I have no problem with soups, even ones with veggies in them.It seems to be the solid foods. Last night I had some shepards pie ( mostly mashed potatoes which went well. My best friend right now is 2% milk. I really enjoy drinking my milk, and it works well. Not only is it a liquid but a protein and calicum. Water is getting boring and broth just doesn't do it.I found that Arizona diet green tea is great. There is no sugar
(has splenda) and taste great. Well my doctor just called and I am being seen today. Thanks, Jessica! I will let you all know what the problem is. Thanks all again for the concern.

Hi Sarah- Glad to hear you're going to the Dr. to get checked on.
I didn't respond to your original post, but I have a though or two for you...
I'm guessing if it's not a physical or stoma issue (which your doctor will figure out), then you're probably eating bites that are too big. It's a pretty common problem. You should be eating really tiny tiny bites of things at this point still. So, you might want to take a look at that.
Some people choose to use baby utensils. I just used a teaspoon or small fork and made sure the utensil was NEVER full when I ate.
Good luck to you.
Hey- BTW, if you like 2% milk for the protein, you might want to take a look at Carb Countdown Milk or at Fit Milk in order to lower your fat and carb intake.
Best,
Lisa C
Hi Sarah,
Im looking forward to hearing how your appt went......
I know that when I take a bite of something and forget to chew it chew it chew it I get sick....like last night with chicken......ugh.....
So anyway, good advice Lisa C!!!!
This morning I had the yummiest breakfast for the first time!!!! Imsoooo sick of eggs!!!

Hi Sarah,
Good luck with your appointment. Hope all goes well. We'll be waiting to hear.
Another soft food suggestion that made me SO happy when I was on soft foods....1/4 cup low fat ricotta seasoned with garlic salt, with Hunts tomato sauce (not paste) and some sprinkled low fat mozzarella and bake kinda like a mini-noodle-free lasagna. High in protein, warm and tasty. When I could tollerate more solid food, I added some seasoned, browned hamburger to it.
Again, good luck.
