New kid on the block.
Hello Everyone. I am new here but have been lurking for almost a year. I have surgery set for 12/28. I finally got approved on a third appeal on December 5 and it's been a very hectic three weeks getting all my tests and procedures done. I had a filter for blood clots inserted today and I am all set for surgery on the 28th. They are rushing because my gall bladder has been acting up and we are trying to avoid two surgeries. The old two birds with one stone approach. Anyway just wanted to say Hi and wish everybody a Happy Holiday. And to thank all you Connecticut people. You have been a wealth of information and support to me even if I have not checked in until now. ( I still can't believe this is going to happen)
Good luck Chris- we have the same date!!!! I am a patient of Dr. Aranow in Middletown and I am going inon the 28th like you- though we will be in different places- I will think of you and wish you well. I was in a tizzy last week but now a strange sense of calm has befallen me- I am truly ready- just think -for Christmas we are getting new starts!!! The New Year holds promise of a new life for us- isn't that wonderful????
