My sister does and she had Laproscopic GB in Feb 09 and they covered it 100%. She has also lost 70 pounds since then and she only started at 265!! Good Luck!

what did she have to do to get approved and how long did it to get  approved

hey there... i have chn...and i am approved for surgery.. they require six months of nutrition counseling, and a slew of other pre op testing... my nutritionist had told me that during the six months they want to see you making some progress,, even if its ten pounds lost.. at the office i go to you first have to finish all pre op testing and the six months of nutrition visits .. and then they send it out to the insurance for apporoval.. after they sent it out it took only one week for the reply.   but overall they have been great, havent had any issues. and im having my surgery in a week.. hope you have a good journey..

She went to Dr. Raftopoulous at ST Francis in Hartford. She had to do a few classes but nothing to much for the insurance.

I have community Health Network Medicaid..

Requirements: 6 mos. nutritionist(Just don't gain any weight) lol

Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Psych Eval. and Sleep Study oh and A referral from Primary Dr.
