Hi Bethany, Glad your sprits are high. At first i lived on Canation instant breakfast ( suger free) and Egg drop soup. I ate it with a baby spoon so I could only take it a little at a time. Suger free ice pops came in handy as well. I drink the Gran slam protien shakes that GNC sells. They have 50 grams of protien in every can. Even if your taking it in a couple of oz's at a time it still fills a good part of the protien needs. When your able to take in soft foods it will be a little easier to get your protien needs taken care of. Just take your time and keep sipping, important that you keep hydrated. Your going to feel a bit run down till your able to take in a few more food. It will come soon so be patient. Again, Welcome to the "Losing Side!" Be well and know we are all here to make the "Journey" as easy as we can for you.

Hey Bethany,
Congratulations on your success so far sweetie, your doing good. I did alot of egg drop soup, icepops and Carnation Instant Breakfast sugarfree too. They have better tastes. Try the Atkins Protein shakes, they smell bad but taste really good, especially the vanilla caramel, orange creme, and chocolate.
Good luck with your journey to the losing side. Your doing great!!!!
Hugs

Hi Bethany,
Congratulations and welcome to the other side!! You can make your own protein popcicles by freezing your Boost or SF Carnation Instant Breakfast. Just pour it in an ice cube tray, cover the tray with saran wrap and insert toothpicks and freeze. I did this all the time after my surgery and loved them. Don't worry about the lack of energy at this point, your body has just gone through MAJOR surgery and it will take a while to get your zip back.
Again, Congrats!!!
Bethany
I didn't like mixing my protein with anything except milk. I used carb countdown choc milk and mixed it with skimmed milk. I used the GNC Designer Whey Protein at first...but found that Unjury protein tasted better-because it did nto change the texture of things. It comes in flavors, but I use the unflavored. I still do a protein shake on days I do not think I get enough protein in. You can only order it through the internet at Unjury.com. Have you tried the Isopure bottled drinks...they are like a sweet koolaid with lots of protein. Good Luck...and congratulations on the 15 lbs lost!
Joanie
Bethany,
I KNOW EXACTLY what you mean. All I did was cry as I hated the taste of the protein powders and I actually STILL DO. For the first few weeks I mixed it with Chocolate pudding and tomato soup but that got OLD fast. It really is hard as the taste is a terrible thing. I myself have also heard of unjury but have not yet tried it. As soon as I get some cash I am going to order it as I have heard that you can go on the site unjury.com and order samples. Do you like Coffee?? If so there are these ones that I tried called Achieve one and they are cappucino (I spelt that wrong I am sure) and they are AWESOME with ice in them. I got them off http://store.bariatriceating.com a bit expensive BUT WELL WORTH it as I don't taste the protein in them
Good luck and if you want to talk e-mail me I would be MORE then happy to chat with you.

Hi Bethany,
Having low energy is normal...but that will change.
Each Dr's diets are a bit different. I was on liquids the first week, after that, I was on pureed foods for 3 more weeks.
I would say try some scrambled egg....or some Tunafish salad (made with fat free mayo).
15 lbs. is terrifi****ep up the good work!
Take care...and don't forget to keep moving (even if its just walking back & forth to the mailbox a couple times a day)
God bless!
Kelly
