Black Friday Blast!

Hi all, What a wonderful Thanksgiving I had! My tukey was wonderful and I didn't overeat! I did overdrink a little though. This was the first taste of wine I have had since I had surgery 15 months ago and it really did hit me. I won't do that again! The kids and I got up at 4:30AM on Friday to hit the mall at Buckland Hills. We had a wonderful time and then at 10:00 am we went to the IMAX to see Harry Potter ( I loved that movie.) What a wonderful life it is and I will forever be grateful for being able to have had this surgery! I wish everyone a very wonderful Holiday season! Sandy

Hey Sandy, Sounds like you had a great holiday. Wasn't Harry Potter great, we went to see it last weekend with a friend and her son. We loved it. God bless you for getting up so early to shop, I haven't done that in years. I did some shopping on the night before Thanksgiving. There were sales and nobody in the mall, due to everyone cooking it was great. Got alot accomplished. I did good with my eating too, alittle spoonful of each and not too much. I wasn't even that hungry, it felt so good. I am so grateful for this surgery too. I really enjoyed the holiday for the first time in a very long time. HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE. Hugs KimC

Hey Kim, New Picture looks Great!! I was at Sears in Milford at 5:30 in the morning waiting for it to open up,. Boy was it cold outside. Really feel it after losing weight. Had a specific item that I was picking up and got in and out in 15 minutes! Was a good start to a busy day, Hope everyone had a fun time! Be well, Julio

What a bunch of beginners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My evening ended at 11:30 on Thursday. Friday morning started at 2:30!!!!!!!!!!!!! By 3:15, I was at CompUSA in Manchester getting some goodies. Went to Walmstrt looking for the 42" plasma TV, but there were none to be had.... anywhere in the state! Some ad Sooooo..................... Best buy right up the street. Was about 200in line, and if sometone knew where the computers were, I would have been able to get the laptop. Got to love stores. Did get the DVD recorder which will be a christmas present for Joanne. I could talk you guys anything, because Joanne never reads this. From there... Staples in East Hartford. Got almost everything on my list. One item was out. THen................... Radio shack in Cromwell. Didn't have the bluetooth headsets. Soooooo.......... Radio Shack in Middletown. Had them... got all six! No I don't have that many ears, but 5 of them are already spoken for. Then...... Staples in Middletown. Got some more of the stuff I wanted, and some things which come others weret looking for. Was back home before 8am! How many of you went shopping at 6 stores and were hobe before 8am??? Peter Great buys--you are a guy after my own heart...a true shopper! I was in NYC this weekend...I did not miss waking up at 4am..to hit the 5am sales. Glad you were able to make up for all of us "slackers". Joanie

Oh honey... my friend and sista bypasser, Rose has you beat! She is the queen of shopping. I bumped into her at KMart at 5:30am Friday. But I do respect the know-how you have for getting out early! Next year I might join you all in the hustle and bustle. For now... I do most of my shopping online. I need to learn how to shop. While being obese for so long... I stayed away from stores. So now I begin to learn how to live life anew in that arena. Glad I have so many folks to help me learn how to spend my mula! Towanda

Kim, LOVE the new picture!! You look great, keep up the good work. I was a shopping wimp and did not go anywhere. Had a great Thanksgiving although some of my family did not come down because of the snow but it was great all the same. Shared leftovers with our best friends last night and that was a lot of fun.
