Hi, All! Sorry I don't have time right now to respond to any posts, but I would feel guilty if I didn't get around to posting my usual reminder about the Middletown support group meeting (at Middlesex Hospital). This coming Mon., 11/28, is the 4th Mon. of the month, so the meeting (from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) will consist of a panel of post-ops telling their stories and answering questions for pre-ops. Although the meeting is supposed to be just for pre-ops, those of us post-ops who show up to support our friends on the panel aren't thrown out, just encouraged not to ask questions. If you need directions, please e-mail me. BTW, for those of you who know Robin, she (and Steven) are planning to be there Mon. night to say good-bye before she moves away. So, who's going to be at the meeting? And who's going to dinner with us afterward? Happy Thanksgiving! Debby

Hi, Tammy! Usually we eat and then some leave while the rest of us sit around sipping and talking for a while. We're generally not out of the restaurant until after 10 or even later. It depends on who's there and how early people have to be up the next day. Although we usually go to Ruby Tuesday's, sometimes we go to 99 Restaurant. Robin will be there tonight with Steven and I had previously mentioned to Steven that 99 has salmon on their menu that's served with carmelized onions, so he's hoping that we go to 99 and he can have the salmon. Remember, he keeps kosher, so the only things he eats in restaurants are pasta, fish and cooked vegetables. Not that raw vegetables, such as in salads, aren't kosher; he just doesn't like raw vegetables. So with a limited number of items from which to choose at either restaurant, it would be nice if this one time that he's with us we could go where he'd like to go. The only problem with that will be if we have a large number of pre-ops or others who don't yet fit comfortably in a booth (a situation I vividly remember being in myself) because 99 only has a couple of tables that aren't booths. So if we have a large party and a booth won't work, we'll have to go to Ruby Tuesday or split into 2 groups. Come to think of it, as I'm typing this, I just remembered that the tables at 99 are in between 2 sets of booths. If 99 isn't too busy tonight (which they usually aren't on a Mon. night), maybe we can get both the tables and 1 or 2 of the adjacent booths. That way we'd be near each other...maybe even closer than when we push tables together at Ruby Tuesday and end up with one very long table. So to summarize, I don't know yet which restaurant we'll go to, but we should be there late enough for you to join at least some of us. I'll call you at work when we decide, so that you'll know where to go. See you tonight. Love, Debby
