Been gone a few weeks!
Sorry everyone, I know that I used to be a bit more active on the board but I really haven't had much to say. I've been a little under the weather. Pouch pain, pressure in the chest, lightheadedness, wierd appetite, tiredness, blah, blah, blah.
They don't really know what is wrong with me. My PCP seems to think that its a malabsorbtion issue. So he ran blood tests about a week ago and all I heard heard back from that was that I was anemic (which I have been since, like, conception) and that "something is the trouble with your thyroid but don't worry about it". This last quote came from the PCP's nurse. She is a very sweet woman but I wanted to scream at her until I pass out. Isn't a tiny thyroid problem like being a little pregnant? Who knows. Anyway, I'm seeing Debbie (Dr. Valin's wife) on Friday, hopefully she will just give me some pep pills and all will be well.
Thanks for reading my rant and I hope everyone is doing well.
p.s. I haven't been posting on the food log b/c honestly my current diet consists of handfuls of peanuts & low carb ice cream. I swing from having no desire to food to having weird cravings like pickle juice. (They tested me for pregnancy even though Aunt Flow was visiting at the time. No dice, luckily.)

Hi Christine,
I've been wondering where you've been!
Remember, there are also a LOT of viruses going around out there that may have gotten you down too, on top of not being tip top as far as your WLS issues goes.
As far as thyroid. I was tested many, many times and my thyroid is just "squeaking by" on the low side. SO, the endocrinologist is keeping his eye on it, has me get blood tests every 3 months and if it changes or I'm still feeling "blah"...he's going to treat it with a low dose of thyroid meds. Mine is hypo or low thyroid...all of my sisters have it, so it's probably a matter of time for me. I just turned 42.
I hope you hang in there and find out what this is all about. And I hope that you're able to post more soon!
Paula
