Dr. Barba did my tummy tuck!
On November 1st Dr. Barba (he did my Gastic Bypass surgery in August of 04) did my hernia removal and tummy tuck. It came out GREAT! I'm 8 days out and feeling pretty good. I also had an arm lift done and I really need to forewarn any person who wants to have both done at the same time... DON'T! huge mistake. I regret having both done. The only reason I did was for insurence purposes.
The arm lift is by far MUCH more painful then the tummy tuck. I don't care what anyone says, it's not worth it. Pay the extra $800 and save yourself a boat load of pain.
I have pictures and if anyone would like to see my before/after/recent/ post-op surgery pictures just email me at [email protected]
I can't exactly post them on here.
All and all I'm happy with the surgery. The thing I hate the most, is the recovery time.
Hope everyone else is doing good.

Congratulations Aliza:
Thats wonderful to hear. I am so glad your doing okay. I am very curious about your surgery, I would like to have it done once I make my goal next year.
You can email me all the information and prices etc. Who was your doctor? I don't know much about it and who to talk to I would appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks
Hugs

Congrats to you on your transformation! I'm glad you're doing so well!
You were VERY brave to have tried the arms and tummy at the same time. That essentially leaves you without use of your entire upper body! (I don't even want to know who much it must hurt to try and do your own personal hygene and get dressed!!) NOT something I'd like to try. There are surgeons who won't do those two surgeries together for just that reason! But, hopefully, it's all water under the bridge and you're recovering nicely now.
Take it easy and be good to yourself while you're recovering.
Best wishes,
Lisa C
