Finally an update!

So sorry it took me so long to update everyone. I was not doing well after my hernia repair! It is such a long story but I posted most of it to my profile. Some of the horror I just kept to myself. I am still in pain all these weeks later, but I hear that I will have pain for a long time after and it does not surprise me in the least! This surgery was horrific. That is the only way to describe it. I was 4 pounds away from 100 when I went in, and 14 away when I came out! Fluid built up because my kidneys didnt work as they should have. Yet no one cared but me and the nurses....nice huh? Anyway I am happy to say that finally I have reached THE CENTURY CLUB!!!!!!!!!!! I am down a total of 107 pounds which is awesome. I am convinced the hernia blocked and slowed down the weight loss. It took me forever to lose 25 pounds but including the fluid I gained in the hosp I have lost 20 pounds since surgery. So now I am back on track. I also got my first pair of jeans the other day as a present from my mom for losing 100 pounds. They are a size 15/16 from the junior's dept! So exciting. Hey Krista, You look absolutely wonderful sweetie, I love your new photo. Congratulations on becoming a member of the century club. You should be very proud of yourself. My weight in was 180, discharged on Thursday, October 20, weight 193. I didn't eat a bite. Lots of Lactated Ringers, and hematocrit of 22, close to a transfusion. --Steve
