2 years tomorrow
CONGRATULATIONS!! 2 years, you look amazing and sound even more amazing. Life sure does change doesn't it? One of the major things I've noticed as I passed my own 2 year annv. (now 2 1/2) is there are people that I meet now that never knew me fat and never have to know I was. To them the way I am now is the way I've always been. That's so strange to me.
I am leaving on my cruise next Sat. with my very best friend for our 50th Birthdays. Again, this is something I would have NEVER done fat because I would think, all I do is eat onboard and then have to lose it. This is my first time cruising and can't wait.
It's so good to pop on here still and see many of the same faces and all the new ones and feel all the encouragement come through.
We are all trying to meet up this Thursday at NBGH support group. All of us "oldies" but goodies from the original group!! Please come if you can!!
Steve----take it slow huh?
love and hugs to all!

Cheryl:
GIRL TRIP!
Have FUN on your cruise! I, too, did a cruise my first year post op and it was so wonderful to be free from the shame and burden of MO. This January, we are again going and will hopefully have even more of a blast!
LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST... one of the hugest perks for me!
What cruise line are you using?
Towanda

Towanda! Where is your picture?? I remember you well. I am so glad you too are living life to the fullest. Notice we don't say living large anymore??
We are going on Royal Carrib. Like I said, this is my first time cruising, but my best friend has gone in the past so I am following all of her tips. We are sailing out of Puerto Rico, so we are going down a day early and checking out Old San Juan. Then off to St. Martin, St. Thomas, Curacao and Aruba. We are in Aruba the longest so I am really looking forward to that. This is one of those things that feels so brave for me because I've never traveled without my husband and this whole cruise thing is so different! This week, this lady that works at the hosp that knows I had the surgery says to me, "don't you think it's such a waste that you can't even eat that much and there will be all that food?" Imagine....first of all, it's NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, but secondly, there is food all day which is perfect for me since I eat every 3 hours. I hear the fruit is spectacular and they always have appetizer stuff around. I think I'll be just fine!!
Thank you for remembering me and if you have any good tips for cruising, I'd love to hear them.
love,
Cheryl
