I would NOT want to be Dr Aranow!
I had my one month appt with him yesterday and he looked exhausted! He profusely apologized for being 2 hours behind and I jokingly said, "What, did you sleep in this morning?!" and he replied, "I wish, I was in surgery until after midnight."
Then he was up early back at the office with TONS of office visits...then more surgeries in the afternoon and Lois said that he'd probably be in surgery again until midnight...
HOW DOES THIS MAN DO THIS? He may look young, but he's pushing 40...I'm tired...I want his energy!
I'm glad to pay him the big bucks for what he does cause I wouldn't be able to do it!
Oh, and by the way, I've lost 28 lbs in four weeks and 43 overall!
paula
theirs is not an easy life- I happened by my kids' pediatricians house one day while in the neighborhood visiting a patient. HUGE house. I mean REALLY big. Inground pool, mansion, goes to Bermuda twice a year, NOT FOR ME thanks anyway-I like having a life outside my career.
Besides, the insurance companies would **** me off royally
Great Job Paula! Seeing the weight loss helps you get thru the rough spots on this "Journey" we are on. Doctor's work very hard and it's something to definitly appreciate. When I a sitting in a waiting room because my doctor is a bit behind looking at patients I just think if I was the person he was checking on I would be glad he's looking in.
Sounds like you made a great choice in having him as your doctor. Take care, Julio
