Help please..need some info
Hi I am 6mos out from my surgery and I have lost approx 83lbs and have about another 35-40 to lose. I have been going up and down with the same 3lbs or so for about 5 wks now and I am frustrated. I do know that I am not getting all my protein or fluids in especially on days that I work, I am a waitress and I never really have time to slow down and eat so sometimes I just don't. My question is ... At this stage how many grams of protein should I be getting in and what should my fluid intake be? I also think I am starting to snack a little too much and that I know must come to an end. If anyone has any answers/advice I would really appreciate it.. Thanks Lisa
Hello Lisa! I am only a few days farther out than you and I have been told to shoot for 70 - 80 grams of protein a day. I am still doing shakes and protein bars to get there b/c I could never eat 80 grams of protein at this point.
I know its hard but you gotta find time to eat! Even if you focus on eating before and after work, real meals, not snacks, that would be better.
I have already lost over 80 lbs, thats awesome!
Good luck!
Hello there , seems to me like you are at a plateau. All of us have been there and the best thing that I have found is to imbibe a lot of water and try and increase the protein. Also through your support group they may have other ways in which to help you. It's something that we all go through. I went through one for about 5 months. I went to group and found that I was not drinking or getting enough protein. Now I have started to drop again and it was a long haul and I was getting very discouraged.
Best of Luck and post post post if you don't ge the results that you
need.
