RELATIONSHIPS-

This is for those who have gotten involved in a new relationship. I got involved in a new relationship and it has been wonderful.. Now the problem is that I am getting so much attention that I am wondering if I should just have fun and not get so serious. I have always had an active dating and social life, but this is the first relationship that I have chosen to become involved in since my last one fizzled of 18 years. I find myself looking at men, and they me, and my paramour is not happy and has made this known. What are folks feeling in their relationships? Should people wait until they are done with their bodies before becoming involved? Just curious, as I am having a hard time with this, and want to run free again.

Well, I was thinking of dating and having a little fun after my surgery with my new body, but my husband said I can't...he's so selfish that way!

I think you have to go with your heart on this one. If you want to be free to explore other relationships or at least the possibility of dating others, then maybe that is what you should do. As for me, I am seeing a few men, 2 more seriously than others. But I am just trying to enjoy the dating life for the first time. If someone really special came along, I would happily settle down. But for right now I am just having fun. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

Hey Jayne, You live your life girl, go with your what your heart tells you. If you find someone who cares about you for you stick with that person. Don't let someone in your life just for the sake of it. Enjoy your life and take it as it comes. Take care. Kim

Hi Jayne, Finding a man that cares for you is NOT the issue here. It's about finding someone that makes YOU feel alive, secure, satisfied, and can keep you smiling. This is your time to test the waters and look for that all-encompasing special person. Me personally? My marriage has ended because of WLS, but there were issues beforehand that I was sable to stifle with food. Eliminated the self-medication, and I was forced to deal with those issues head on, full-speed ahead. The result of that is a separation and soon I will be divorced.
