Appt. with FFLD. County Bariatrics- how long?
Does anyone know how long it takes to get an appointment with them for a consult? Somewhere I was reading that a person took 2 months to get in for a consult with their dr! I think that was somewhere in California. I think that I read that you need to attend a seminar before you have a consult with them. Once you have all your appointments done, how long did it take you to schedule your actual surgery? Did everyone have to do the sleep apnea test? I am pretty confident that I don't have that, but don't know if that it's a standard test for everyone regardless.
Sorry for all of the questions, but I figured that this is the best place to ask. I haven't called them yet, just wanted to know what to expect when I do. Thanks!

Hi Lisa...
Dr. Ehrlich of Fairfield County Bariatrics did my surgery. You are going to love this group!! You have to attend a seminar first to get your information packet and questionnaire. After you have attended the seminar you can call their office and schedule a consult with one of the three surgeons. At the consult you will be given a list of all the pre-op tests you need to complete. Once that's done, everything gets submitted to your insurance company and when your approval comes back, your surgery date is scheduled. The pre-op testing can take anywhere from 1-3 months to complete depending on how fast you can get appointments for each test.
Your first step is to call the office and sign yourself up for a seminar. If you go to their website, they have the schedule posted.
