2 Week Check With Dr A.
And I'm down 20 lbs since surgery! That's about 34 all together since seeing him for the first time.
I'm cleared to eat pureed foods and gosh, tunafish pureed w/ a little mayo never tasted SO good! I didn't overdo it and only had one ounce, but it was like heaven!
He said I looked well and to keep doing what I'm doing. Up my walking to brisk and get that heartrate up.
My incision still had most of my steri-strips (I don't think they would ever come off by themselves, they were on there so tight) still on and showed him how they were causing me a skin allergy, so he told me to get them off and to put hydrocortisone on...I'll get some tonight.
Hubby went back to work tonight after two weeks off of caring for me and the kiddies. He WAS WONDERFUL! He IS WONDERFUL! He did tons of laundry and took perfect care of the kids, got them off to school, made lunches and the rest of the meals for them and kept them busy so Mama could rest and recoup. He cleaned and ran errands and was EXHAUSTED! I laughed last night when I heard him say "Oh, I start my vacation tomorrow when I go back to work!"
I really appreciate him for doing that. Just wish that he didn't have to go back to work tonight. I miss him already.
Hope everyone is well on this rainy, dreary day. It was raining from the coastline of RI and CT up Rte 9 to Middletown. What a drag.
Keep well...
paula
Hi Paula
Congrats for your weight loss... Remember how much you lost from the weight scale is not important... Measure your body now and you will see how many inches you will loose form your body than weight yourself on the scale is important than just the number you lost from the weight scale. Everybody from this CT Board know me well and I can take their weight scale away LOL
Eat slowly with tuna salad, egg salad or chicken salad..... I will email you private later today.
Have a good day!
Kathy K

HI Paula
Kathy is right..I never measured myself before surgery--so the scale was l had. It helps during those times of plateaus--to assure yourself you may not see the scale move--but you are losing inches.
Good luck with the exercise--just try to keep moving.
You hubby sounds like a sweetie..glad he was there to help!
Keep up the great work!!
Regards
Joanie
