8 Month Update
Hey all! Haven't posted in a while. Life is crazy right now. I think about you guys all the time and hope everyone is doing well. I will be 8 months on 10/15 and I feel great. I have lost 140lbs. I went from a size 32 pant to a loose 18, closing in on a 16 and I can fit into a Large shirt. It is weird to not recognize the face looking back at you sometimes. If I said this surgery did not turn my life upside down for better and worse I would be lying. But I am grateful everyday for the chance to be healthier and most of the time happier. I actually enjoy walking and miss it when I can't get out to do it. I never thought I would say that. I am trying to work up to jogging, slowly but surely I will get there. I feel bones in my body that have long been hidden and it freaks me out! LOL This surgery also brings forth many emotional issues and for any pre-op reading this please be prepared for how you will change as a person. I thought I would change of course but never this drastically. My thoughts and desires on life and relationships have done a complete 180 and flipped my life up-side down. Would I do this again? Hell yeah.
Would I have prepared better emotionally...god yes. Be good all, and hope to see you at an upcoming meeting.

Atta Girl Kristin, Great work! I hear you about the changes we go thru. I go to put my pants on in the morning while dressing for work and cannot belive I will fit into the pants I am putting on.(started at 62, down to a 44/46). It truly is a life changing experence and like all change some can be exciting and some can be scary. Thank goodness we can come on here and find others going thru the same feelings. Good Luck and continued sucess on your journey. Be Well,
Julio
