I am HOME THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!
I went to the Middlesex Hospital today and I had to have a Upper GI done and then they called Dr Aranow and he said he wanted it to sort of be lower also so he could make sure there weren't any rips or leaks and THANK GOD THERE WEREN'T. So before I left the Hospital Dr Aranow called and spoke to me telling me to go back to the hospital tomorrow and have blood work done and then he wants to see if I am dehydrated (wich I am almost POSITIVE that I am) and if so he will have them put some fluids into me via IV..
He mentioned the feeding tube again and I really do not want that.
I want to take the time to Say THANK you all so much for all the e-mails.
I did stop at GNC before I went to the Hospital and I bought the Orange Isopure Zero carb and I liked it so on my way home I stopped and bought 8 more..
I will keep you all posted I promise.
Lisa
Lisa,
Glad to hear you are home. Just take it one day at a time and if it is a feeding tube you need to get back on your feet, it won't be the worst thing in the world! You just need to stay healthy!
Make sure to keep us posted and I am real happy that there were no rips or leaks - I would think that would be worse than a feeding tube!
Hugs,
Nancy K
Hey Lisa,
I am glad to hear your on your way to mending. I have been praying for you to be ok and like Nancy said if you have to have the feeding tube, so be it, you need to take care of yourself.
Take care of yourself sweetie, and let us know how your doing. I am praying for you and thinking of you.
God Bless
Hugs

I hope you can get back on track Lisa- I hated the thought of you crying yourself to sleep...and being depressed and miserable.
Screw your hubby- "its just a mind thing, oh hang on honey that's the Dominos guy at the door..." he needs a kick in the butt!!!!! (Excuse me for just blurting that out...)- seriously- you need to get some emotional support- from Kim Daniels or Cynthia Wirth- whichever one you saw....
Do what you can, and stop fretting so much- worst case scenerio is Dr. A will put a tube in you- its a very simple procedure to pop one in and good news is - no tasting the protein drinks after that!!! (Phil had one he was there tonight in Mdtwn) Giving yourself feeds is an easy thing to learn (I can even come teach you- I am a visitng nurse, and in Andover)
So- see- the worst case scenerio isn't that scary- really it isn't!!! Trust me!!!
Dr A isn't going to let you get sick sick- so lets see what the bloodwork shows, and if your protein levels are in the toilet he will do what he has to do - and you will get through all this and you feel better- and you will regain your strength and the next time your husbands buddy drops by with Pizza you will be able to slam his head in the door....
Glad to hear that the orange isopure tastes ok. A few days of that and you should be well on your way to mend.
You should not be dehydrated if you have been drinking enough. Have you been able to get your 60+ oz of water in daily??
Keep getting that isopure down, drinking, and you will come a long way in a short time. Once your body starts to adjust to the food/nutrition, you will progress quickly.
You have 4 days worth of the isopure. Might want to go back and get some of the other flavors. Remember, with a receipt, they will take back even open product.
