Hi all, Hope everyone is happy and healthy! I have a question for everyone. I am shrinking- which is wonderful!!! But I still have this big belly- Can anyone give me suggestions on how to get rid of it? I do ab exercises but will that reduce the fat in the area? Help! ~Robin 285/226/150 RNY 06-23-05

Hi Robin, I do crunches as part of my excersize sets at the gym every other day to trim down my tummy. I see some women at the gym doing sit ups with the excersize balls they have there so that may be a way to go that route as well. Wal Mart sells them if you rather do your excesizing at home,Good Luc****ep up the good work on your weight loss journey. Julio

Thank you Julio for the support. I will keep up the ab workouts- I know I'll never have a "six pack" but a slimmer tummy would be so nice! ~Robin p.s.- you look FANTASTIC!!!

Hi Robin! The belly will shrink along with your weight loss. Sometimes we don't like the way our body choses to lose weight (trust me, I'm hardly a "B" cup and wish I could take more off of my butt and leave my chest alone!) but that really is the luck of the draw. Doing abdominal exercises are important, but ultimately won't help you shrink the fat. Just cardio and weight loss will do that. The good news is that once you lose the fat, your abs will be in tip top shape if you keep working out, and you'll notice the difference quicker. Good luck! Love, Tammy

Thanks Tammy! Somehow I knew you would reply and I'm so glad you did! I'll keep doing the abs and add in a little cardio. I just wish I could "target" that spot- it seems to be stubborn! Or maybe just move the fat from there to my chest and butt! But that is for another thread... Love, Robin

Robin, I have the same problem, my belly is huge. I just try to do a combo of cardio, weight training and yoga to keep up the weight loss, I figure eventually it will have to come off of there cause there won't be anyplace else to come off! Good luck, Pam

Robin: I don't do crunches because they always end up causing me back and neck pain. Here's a link to the ab exercise I DO do, "stomach vaccuum": http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ms-fit5.htm Best thing is, you can do them ANYWHERE! Bette
