Middletown Meeting Monday? (Columbus Day)
Is there a support group meeting for Middlesex Hosp on Monday the 10th? It's Columbus Day- and I know Dr Aranow's office is closed. (I had an appointment with Elina for that day and they called to change it since the office was closed- why they booked me in the first place is beyond me.)
SO? Yes? No?
Hi, Bernadette!
Sorry that I'm late posting my weekly reminder about the meeting or you wouldn't have had to post your question. (I had a busy week.) I too was supposed to see Elina on Mon., Oct. 10th, and received a call from Dr. A's office to change my appointment since they're closed Mon. (BTW, when is your rescheduled appointment? Mine is the following Mon., Oct. 17th, at 3 p.m.****il I got the call from Dr. A's office, it didn't occur to me that Columbus Day might be considered enough of a holiday to cause the cancellation of the support group meeting, but then I started wondering... So I called Kim Daniels and she told me that it's not a hospital holiday and the meeting will be held, as usual, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Since it's the 2nd Mon. of the month, it's for both pre- and post-ops and will consist of general discussion, questions and answers. Although most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, anyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
So who's going to the meeting? And who wants to go out to dinner after? BTW, for those who might be wondering, dinner out is for anyone who wants to join us, pre- or post-op. (When I was a pre-op, I found it helpful to see how post-ops handled eating out...what they ordered, how much they ate, etc.) And if you'd rather eat before the meeting, consider coming anyway and just having something to drink (the restaurants we go to don't mind). The point of going out after the meeting isn't the food...it's the additional support and opportunity to get to know each other better.
If anyone needs directions, please e-mail me.
