H E L P **** DIARRHEA AND GAS

Hi everyone, I'm new to this sight, but I was wondering if anyone could let me know if there is anything that they have taken for bad diarrhea. My daughter had laproscopic by-pass on 9/13/05 and is doing very well except for that darn diarrhea. The gas has subsided alot with GAS-X but has anyone ever taken chewable pepto bismuth or chewable imodium for the diarrhea problem? I would love to hear any suggestions that might help. Hi Rain, While I never had the problem your having both pepto and immodium come in liquid form so that may be a better option till you get in touch with your doctor. Hope your drinking alot of fluids as we have to try hard to stay hydrated when we are feeling ok. Good Luck and hope your feeling better soon. Take Care, Julio

thanks Julio, I thought of the liquid but my daughter preferred the chewables. Hard for her to get all the required liquids in as it is, but thanks for your help Will be calling the Doctor tomorrow Rain

Hey Rain, So sorry to hear your daughter is not feeling well. You should check with her surgeon to see what is safe for her to take for her tummy. I had a lot of problems with gas and diarrhea too. My surgeon had me take chewable pepto but no imodium, too strong for the pouch. Have her drink flat gingerale for awhile too. That always helped me. If you are concerned call her surgeon, they are always there for things like this. I hope this was helpful. Good Luck. Hugs KimC
