I wish you the best of luck Kathy. My husband is 35 and I think his is ticking louder than mine!

I am so glad you said that. I have been trying to explain to a few of the "skeptics" that this isn't the lazy way out. This lifestyle change takes work and commitment.

Everyone seems to be very nice. And I have a feeling I will become a clothes hoarder even though they might be far past their use.

Best wishes!

LOL I gave all my shirts to the hubby and kept a few that I put into drawers. The too big ones I wear now are 3x and a few 2x. I am mostly an XL girl now.

Most people don't get how hard this decision really is. The weight comes off easy but there is sooooo much more involved in it. You can go to all the support groups and read all you can but you can never be 100% prepared for what happens after. I thought I knew all I could know. There is a lot to learn after the fact that you just can't learn before.

Hopefully we get the go ahead next month from the cardiologist.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

 Kathy,

You and your husband are in my thoughts! Hopefully the cardiologist gives you the "baby green light"! I went to my second support group tonight (I was actually just about to write a blog on it.)

Pretty disappointed again.

I may have to go elsewhere.

Keep my posted on the situation..I wish you the best of luck!!

you might want to check out the hartford hospital support group. There have been several people who have made comments on here such as yours who have said they felt they prefered the HH group meetings. I don't have the schedule with me (and i'm posting from my cell phone so i can't easily look it up) but i can post it later if you were so interested.
