I am now approx. 6 wks post op and just starting to get a head cold. I am prone to them and really don't know what to take due to all the restrictions we have with medicine. I was hopeing while at work I can stop bye CVS to see if they have liquid Sinus/Cold Tylenol but I doubt they have it. What are you using to help you with sinus pressure and a runny nose. Please help!! Thanks Christine C

Hey Christine, I am 6 months post op and had the same exact question this morning. I did call my doctors office and they told me that I could take anything that is NOT long lasting, NOT time released and does NOT contain aspirin. I went to the drugstore and asked the pharmacist for help. He told me to take Tylenol Flu (which meets all the guidelines) I think I did see it in liquid form too. Since I am much farther out than you, I would suggest looking for the Tylenol Cold or Tylenol Flu in liquid form. But always check with your doctor if there is any question. The medicine is helping my congestion and pressure so far. Good luck and hope you feel better soon. Nicki

Hi Christine, I normally don't go to CVS, so I don't know what they carry or not. Can you try Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Stop & Shop for Tylenol Cold & Sinus? I think that would be the best bet. I'm pre-op though, so maybe some of the post-ops will have other suggestions. I hope you feel better! Michelle

the flu/cold medicines that have just tylenol and pseudophedrine and perhaps some cough med in them should be okay- and they come in "tea" or "broth" form- you can always take kids prep too- adult dosage is more....adults can have 650-1000 mg of tylenol every 4 hours. and 60mg of pseudophedrine every 4 hours. To sleep at night I would take something with benadryl in it- diphenhydramine- that comes in a liquid. Poor thing- I had a 2 day thing earlier this week - I hope yours is as quick moving and you are better soon.
