1 year anniversary
1 year ago today I was scared to death. Unsure of what the next year would bring. Well, all for naught. I have had a great year. I am down 120 lbs and wearing size 10 petite. I go to the gym daily and have plenty of energy to go places after work. I have met a great friend who was my surgery buddy--Terri C who I want to give a shout out to and wish her a happy anniversary too(9/21)

Happy Anniversary!!! I can't believe 1 year ago we were hobbling around the nurses station together clocking those miles and drinking our teeny weeny medicine capful of water and wondering how we were going to fini**** in an hour. LOL.
It has been an amazing year, not only attaining weight goals but meeting lots of new and wonderful friends.
I have to share that I went to see Elina (dr Aranow's dietician) on my 1 year anniversary yesterday... I am also down 120 pds!! WAHOO! I celebrated today and bought a new winter coat --- SIZE 12!!
Elina asked me what is different in my life now. Among the things I told her, the one thing that nearly brought me to tears was the fact that I can sit down on the floor and have my daughters be able to sit on my lap and read them a story. I never had a lap for them to sit on and was always so envious watching other Moms cuddle with their children that way. Now I can even have them sit on my lap in a booth at a restaurant when a year ago I couldn't fit myself. I am so grateful to Dr Aranow and his team for giving this life saving surgery.
