Hey folks...i"m about 10 months out from a total revision due to perforations...i have what appears to be a hernia: a significant bulge to the right of my (open) incision line. i've had diarrarah or loose stools (SORRY SO GRAPHIC!) for about a week, and what i woudl describe as a stinging pain. anyone else experience this, and do you think it's likely a hernia? i have job issues and worry about having to be out of work for weeks. any experiences, advice, etc. woudl really be welcome. thanks!

I had hernia repair surgery about 2 years ago.. (4 on top of each other) upper left side by my incision & ribcage.
Dr. Giovonni did the procedure laproscopically.  I was out of work for about 4 days.. went back to work for a week part time.
What does Dr. R say & will he do a hernia repair?
I guess my hernia's looked like swiss cheese.. I was a mess & have a massive piece of mesh from top to bottom in my tummy to hold everything in place.
It's considered same day surgery... I was in at 6 home by 11am.
The first few days (especially the 1st day home) once the hospital drugs/anesethia wore off were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I was on the recliner for the first 4-5 days.. but again I was a mess so I can only tell you my experience.
Percacet was my candy... LOL..
Definately noticed a difference physically about a month after surgery.  Pain, twisting sensation, & burning were gone.

Hope this helps,
Mickey
