ROLL CALL
Good Morning Everyone:
Well its Friday and what a beautiful day outside today. This week has been a busy one for me. Lots of things going on at work with the new classes starting at the center, our commission meetings started back up again and had a meeting last night. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.
Tonight we are going up to the Norwalk Oyster Festival. The old rock group Kansas will be performing. Its going to be so much fun, I have not seen them since I was a teenager. I love their music. Boy am I getting old.
Tomorrow we may go back up to the festival again, The Village People will be there tomorrow and Little Feat will be there on Sunday. Tomorrow night my coworker Ellen, who also had the surgery, some of you met her is having a picnic at her house. Thats going to be a blast, she and her husband are such sweeties.
Sunday we have our annual church picnic so that will be nice too. Lots of food this weekend, so I have to be very careful. I can't wait to go to the festival and see all the crafts they have. I love crafts!!!!!!
We never have a quiet weekend. We are always doing something which is fine with me. I love being busy and going places, especially now that I have so much more energy. Its great.
I went to Target the other day and tried on some clothes, oh my god, I got into a size 18!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so excited that I finally reached a size I have not seen in 20 years. It feels so great. I am finally feeling like my old self and happy alot more now too. Thanks so much everyone for being my support through all my good and bad moments.
I love you all!!!!! HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND EVERYONE, ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER!!!!
Hugs
KimC

Hi,
This is our final weekend of summer. My daughter will start second grade on Monday and my son has his Kindergarten orientation on Monday as well. He'll start the Monday after.
So, this weekend will be just kind of hanging out and playing. Mystic is having their seafood festival, maybe we'll catch that. Hubby has to work all weekend (as usual) and the kids and I are on our own. Gas is high and I want to conserve as much as possible. Maybe we'll take a drive down to the beach (which is only two miles away) and see what's going on down there. At least take a nice long walk!
I found out yesterday that my file is sitting on Dr A's desk waiting for him to review it and sign off on it for surgery! Then it's off to his nurse where she'll call me to set up a surgery date! Then she submits to insurance and hopefully they'll approve quickly and we'll get this ball rolling.
Have a great weekend all....

Hi Kim!
Wow, you have been busy!!!! it is good though. like you said it is so much nicer now that we have the energy to do more things. That is awesome you went to Target! An 18 wow GREAT JOB, it is so nice to go into regular stores and not head on over to the plus side.
Anyway, This weekend will be busy for us too! Milford is having thier annual Fire Truck Parade and Muster so we are going down there to spend a day with the boys, they have alot of fun things to do there including rides. It will be good to see alot of our friends since Tom works on the Fire Dept. there.
Then on Sunday, we are going to the Apple Festival in Monroe, I love this time of the year, lots of fairs and such. Then off to see my mom for Granparents day on Sunday, the boys got her a little gift. Hope the weather stays good this weekend!
Hope everyone is doing well and have a wonderful weekend!

This weekend I am at the Wapping Fair in South Windsor. The BBQ vendor knows how to make breadless sandwiches (in a tray) and it sure is good.
If youy're REALLY up to it, I'll be the booth right next to the racing pigs! If you have never seen them before, it is worth the trip just to see them. VERY cute! I do have sugar free chocolate and peanut butter fudges at the fair and will be trying to make sugar free glazed and roasted nuts today.
Monday I leave for Phiiladelphia for a candy show, and a baseball game, and hope on Tuesday hope to meet a gal who I have known for several years online who had WLS surgery, and a few weeks ago her lower bosy lift. Will be nice to put a real face to a name after so long.
Congratulations on the 18's. Time to move to the other side of the store. No, not the men's department either!
Everyone have a wonderful weekend.
Peter
congrats kim, i remember that feeling! It's great isn' it????
Busy weekend here too. I'm babysitting my friend's 9 yr old son. So gonna take him to the North Haven Fair tonight and off to shop tomorrow. Sunday, if it's warm enough, we'll swim; otherwise may be a movie. Tomorrow I have to watch my friend's mom for a few hours too. She's 85 and had a stroke. So very busy weekend.
I am still struggling with my weight. Can't seem to get it to move, and of course, I have to admit I'm not exercising enough and making some wrong food choices UGH!
Happy weekend all.

Hi Everybody! Keep up the great work Kim! Been a while since I have been to the Oyster Festival and it was always a blast. Will be up to my regular stops this weekend. Work on the bakery saturday and sunday mornings. Will hit the gym both days as its the only time ray can join me now that school has started. Getting ready to get into "Fall Mode" . Be nice to have a quiet weekend after the crazy one we had last weekend.
JA, Don't give up, I stayed the same weight for almost three weeks a while back and it drove me crazy. Hide that scale and just do your best to get back on track. A day at a time, thats all it takes! Good Luck and be well!
Julio
Hi everyone
I'm still recouperating and relaxing. Not much exciting going on. I'm doing a lot of reading, crosswords, word searches and video games. Mike has been a trooper as usual and is taking great care of me. I miss going outdoors, but Dr.s orders say not for at least three weeks. I did sneak out once and it took me three days to recouperate. I can't wait until I can get on my feet and get active again.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Have fun and I hope to see you all soon. Anyone interested in planning a CT fall event?
Hugs,
Maggie

Congrats Kim on the size 18's! what a great feeling isn't it?
I haven't posted in eons! How is everyone out there. This summer has been the busiest summer for me. 1st of all, just having way more energy and new natural air conditioning made it easy to keep moving even in the hottest weather! I just never felt too hot this year. While everyone was complaining during the heatwaves, i was like, what heatwave? this is so cool! (literally!)
We have spent most of the summer moving! Sorry Peter, we aren't neighbors anymore.
We moved back to Waterford and I am just loving it! I work in Waterford, therefore daycare, preschool, ballet and just about everything else is in this area --- except our house. So in June we put the East Haddam house on the market and 5 weeks later it sold. The house we purchased is in the same neighborhood I grew up in so I know lots of the neighbors already and I have a .... drumroll please..... 2 minute ride to work! Just in time for high gas prices, huh? My 2 girls love it here. The ice cream truck comes twice a week, need I say more?. Anyway, it feels good to be back home. My husband is from Montville and teasingly calls me a spoiled Waterford princess. All I can say is "Time to break out and shine my tiara!" We officially moved in Aug 20th and have been gutting bathrooms, renovating, painting and unpacking all at once. oh yeah and working full time! I would never had had this kind of energy last year!
Health wise, i have never felt better. To date, I have lost 123lbs and wearing size 16' s teetering on edge of 14's . I can wear a regular size L from Coldwater Creek and LOVING IT! Knee pain... gone. Asthma... GONE!! (i never expected that). I have a new love --- YOGA. Such a different life than what I was living. I do have struggles every now and then with grazing and carbs. SF popsicles help a lot with that, but still have a hard time breaking that old snacking at night habit. It hasn't been a problem the last couple of months because I have been so busy. So I guess that is the secret...to keep busy with something else.
I sure do miss coming online to check in on you guys. So many new names. I hope to attend the walk from obesity this year, so hope to see some old and new faces.
Good luck to all those waiting for surgery and hope all is going well for CT boarders.
have a great weekend everyone!
