Hi gang...its Labor Day weekend! Enjoy this beautiful weather. Today I am going to a picnic--which just lately have become problems for me. It seems I getting to that grazing thing again. I am going to go later after the appetizers are gone or look unedible.. My daughter is cheerleading at the Youth Football game...so I will stay and watch her and go to the party later. Walked 3 miles yesterday and did some much needed heavy cleaning in the house. Today we are walking--sometime this morning. To help from grazing at the picnie I am going to join in a game or two a the picnic..Volleyball anyone? Here goes the eating plan for the day B-2 poached eggs 1/2 sl rye toast S-protein drink (Unjury pwdr/CC choc milk) L-roast beef wrapped around cheese slice-w/spicy mustard-2 D-cheeseburger-no bun...cole slaw Bringing 40oz of Propel to the picnic..to keep me from grazing! I may even do a DD iced decaf coffee run...to treat myself and get away from all the food! Enjoy your Sunday everyone! XO Joanie

Morning Joanie! Love the new picture - you are beautiful (and so were the old ones!!). I can relate to the grazing. Now I'm 10 months out, I find myself slipping very easily. I wonder, "how on earth did I eat that much food?" Well, it's because I drank while I ate, and grazed. Two big NO NO's!!!! I'm making a better effort at controlling both of those now! We are hitting a campground for the day and swimming and doing some outdoors stuff with the kids. Of course, there will be a big cookout, but I was told to bring something, so veggies it is! So if I feel like I'm missing out, I can chomp on some carrots. ;) B - 1 piece of toast with peanut butter S - iced coffee L - not sure yet - some sort of protein. Maybe cheese and ham wrap D - I think lunch and dinner will probably be combined into an early dinner. Chicken and veggies for me. I ate like CRAP yesterday. We had movie night with the kids and I tried every snack we had in the house. What is it with movies and candy that go hand in hand???? I think no more movie night for me unless I can control the eating. I worked out hard last week - today I'm going to stick to an unstructured exercise - walking and swimming at the lake. Joanie, You look GREAT!!!!! Sounds (and looks) like you are doing really well. Grazing sure is hard to avoid, keep busy and I know you'll do great! We are going to a B-day party/picnic this evening so I have been trying to be good and am bringing healthy snacks! B- 1/2 banana small bown oatmeal w/ a sprinkle of brown sugar and splash of milk L- Chicken salad on green salad S- Detour bar D- veggies, cheese and crackers for snacks, though I will try to stay away steak corn on the cob d* small piece of cake As for exercise, my knees are really stiff and swollen but I will do a set of exercised from the physical therapist. Hi Folks! Hope everbody is enjoing their holiday weekend. B 1/2 cup bran flakes with 1/2 cup skim milk S 2 deviled eggs L 3oz Turkey burger, no bun,2 tablespoons of potato salad,slice of tomato and lettuce. D nothing. Todays picnic went alot better than yesterday. Behaved fairly well considering what I was tempted with. Didn't even look at the dessert table. Am quite content, just tired. All these partys are wearing me out. Will stay home tomorrow and cook for the family . Take Care and Be well! Julio

Ok, I don't want to be discouraging, but I must post my awful eating anyway. Its good for me to put my dirty laundry out, but please no one follow my example. B - 6 oz yogurt S - nuts, soy chips L - turkey & bean soup, 4 graham crackers w/ pnut butter S - a pop tart (I know, a pop tart! I was curious, but its not as satisfiying) D - 2 stewed chicken wings S - 10 oz milk w/ a little ovaltine & splenda But I have been exercising like crazy, thats all I can say for myself. I walked 4 miles today, between the gym and walking most of the way home from work. I just need to work at controling my impulses. In happier news, I bought a size 14 strech jeans this weekend. Haven't seen this size since middle school. Happy Labor Day guys!
