Rebecca, I'm sorry you have had such upsetting news. Just a thought though.. better to have this borderline ekg checked out before surgery rather than have a problem during surgery. Rant away.. that is what we are here for..to listen and care. Being completely cleared is the only way to go into this surgery. When it is done you will want to put all your efforts into enjoying the journey back to good health and weight loss not worried about other health issues. All my good thoughts are with you today Rebecca.. hugs and I hope you feel better from the cold soon. hugs Pattie

Rebecca - I have to say I completely understand your emotions. The night before I was scheduled to have my surgery, the dr's office called to say that the dr's had to cancel for the next day because he was sick. Out of all the reasons I anticipated to not have the surgery that day, him being sick was not one of them!! Anyway, I was in shock and misery for about 24 hours and then I realized that things like that and what happened to you HAPPENED FOR A REASON. This does not mean you won't have your surgery, it just means it is postponed. I know where your emotions are right now, because I have been there, but it will be okay, I promise! It will get better and I have to tell ya, I was SOOOOO nervous for my surgery and then it was postponed and I had to wait three weeks. I was much more calmer going into it. I know my postponement was a blessing in disguise!!! It will be for you too! Take care and keep us posted! Phyllis

What a disappointment. This is the perfect forum to rant and vent. That's what we are here for. On the positive note, you will see a cardiolgist to make sure you are ready for surgery, so that will only help in your recovery and peace of mind. It's a minor set back - you will have your new date before you know it!!!! Until then, hang in there!!! Love, Tammy

Hi Rebecca, Sorry about your news, but I am a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. Try very hard to take this setback in your stride and pretty soon you will be on the losers bench with the rest of us. Let us know about your EKG and cardiologist appointment. Sandy

Hi Rebecca, I am sorry that your surgery has been postponed. On the positive side, it is a blessing that they are double checking everything before you have surgery. In the long run, it will be better to know what they are dealing with when you have surgery, rather than discover it during surgery. Stay positive, I am sure your date will be rescheduled soon. It is so important to make sure you are healthy enough to have the surgery so just think of this as a minor set back. You will be on the loosing side before you know it. HUGS, Nancy k

I'm sorry that you have to wait, that really sucks, but on the other hand it sounds like you have a great surgeon who cares about you and your health. I'm glad that they are being extra cautious because we really would love to have you join us on the losing side safely!
