Just Popping in to say Hi!

Hi All - It's been a long time but I just wanted to pop in and say "hi" and let anyone *****members me know that I am switching to Dr. Ioannis Raftopoulos and will be seeing him for the first time on the 27th - I just couldn't stand dealing with the disorganized office that Dr. Barba has - they never even sent his patients a notification he moved! When I called for an appointment they had this recording where you press 1 for this and 2 for that while I wasn't sure so I chose one of the options which just looped me back to the beginning - when I finally just selected anything I told the woman who answered the phone about the loop issue and her response was "she knows" - I was like - well if you KNOW about it - how come it hasn't been fixed? Geeze - just stupid things with details like that - then they fax me the medical release records with the OLD address on it - I mean the form was so simple - why not just FIX it? It's been like that since day one with that office - regardless of the staff and there has been a HUGE turnover since I've known him - it just seems like nobody in that office has attention to detail - ever - I had a test - they never called with the results - I haven't been there since August 2007 at the beginning of my pregnancy the day Dr. Barba pulled MORE out of my band then they had on record - imagine that? The thing about this band - it has never worked well for me until I got pregnant and completely unfilled - I managed to only gain 20 pounds my entire pregnancy - and the band was awesome then - no sliming - no getting things stuck - just getting full on relatively small portions - it was the wonderful illusive "sweet spot" I had searched for and never found - so I now know how this tool is supposed to work......

Lately I've been feeling a little bit of pain in my port area so I thought I better go and get things checked out - I called Dr. Barba's office got stuck in the loop thing - got angry - called Dr. Ioannis Raftopoulos's office and a PERSON actually answered the phone - WOW - she said he would take on a new patient so I made an appointment... Now that my little munchkin is 10 months old it's time for me to get my 'fat' butt in gear and get back on track with losing weight - I am down 40 pounds from my highest weight but need to lose at least 70....

My baby is awesome - she said her first word at 8 months and now says about 10 words at 10 months - it blows me away - she's a beautiful, content baby and we are very blessed - my son just adores her and she him - it's so cute to see them together.

I can't say I'll be back often - but I do 'lurk' - happy to hear of your successes - and happy to see some people beginning their journey's it's an exciting time!

I have been around  - more or less (mostly less) for three years now - We had our surgery about the same time  - I remember your frequent posts.

Hey Tammy! I go to Sommers every once in a while and think of you when I go. Glad to see you are ok and the baby is doing great. Good luck with changing. It should be better from what I have heard about Dr. R.

Eh, I feel crappy due to possible heart issues. Other than that I feel great. It's funny how I still feel like I weigh almost 400.

I am glad to hear that you switched to different doctor  and you are in excellent hands with Dr R.  ! SMILE!  I have been not using this website but I read Ct Message once a while. I am doing good and still exercise at gym where I work five days a week but I gained up to 7 pounds but can lose 7 pounds when Spring will be here soon!!!!  I am glad to hear your kids can along great and your daughter is almost 1 year old! Pretty soon she will be walking all over  LOL   Take care ,

How nice to "see" you! Good for you sticking to the gym! Are you still doing that walking excercise with the poles? (I forgot the name).....

You are right about Sarah walking soon - she's already pulling herself up and she'll be ready to go very soon - hopefully that will help me lose some weight
