Mon. Night Support Group Meeting
Hi, All!
This coming Mon. night, Aug. 29th, is the 5th Mon. of the month, something that only happens a few times a year. On those days, the support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown is run by Elina, the dietician, and the discussion concerns nutritional matters for both pre- and post-ops. The meeting is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and although most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, everyone is welcome.
And, as usual, we will be going out to dinner after the meeting. Dinner is for both pre- and post-ops, along with any supportive significant others who may be at the meeting. The point of going out isn't the food, it's the additional support and friendship that we get from each other while we happen to be eating and/or drinking. If you'd rather eat dinner before the meeting (or aren't eating solids yet), feel free to come and just drink something (even jus****er). The staff at the restaurants we go to are very understanding and accomodating. If you won't be bothered by not eating when those around you are, it won't bother us if you don't.
Last week there were 12 people at dinner, including a baby. This week we had 15. Should we reserve a room for next week?
Who's going to be at the meeting? And who's going to dinner?
If anyone needs directions, please e-mail me.

P.S. After my appointment with Dr. A. yesterday, I was given all sorts of paperwork and one of the things they were going to give me was the support group meeting schedule. I laughed and explained that I'm the one who posts these reminders every week. I don't think I need a schedule...
Hey guys!
I will be at the meeting Monday night! I will be participating in the panel with Elina discussing exercise and fitness with weight loss surgery. I'm really looking forward to sharing what I've learned with everyone, and I'd like to join you afterwards too.
Can't WAIT!
P.S. Monday is my 38th birthday. So, I can't think of a better way to celebrate it! ;) I actually have a life this year! ;)
Love,
Tammy
