Help why am I so hungry?
Hi,
I would appreciate if any help you can provide. I am a little over 9 months and the past week or so I am starving. I mean I can eat and maybe 2 hrs later I am hungry again. Am I not getting enough of something in. I am going to call and make an appt with my surgeon but I am a lost. If anyone has experienced this or heard of it. I also have not lost a pound in over a month and I believe it is the hunger issue. Is there someway to turn it off lol anyway please help.
Hi!!!!
It could be what you are eating. I know if I don;t eat "heavy" food (ie: meat, chicken, fish)I tend to get hurney in a few hours. So I go and eat my protein first and then the "soft" food (veggies, rice pasta).
There are times also that I feel really hungry and then I'm not hungry at all.
also take in a lot of water that helps.
Hope my 2 cents will help
. Good luck
Carmen

Thank you Carmen,
Your 2 cents helped a great deal. I think I am not eating enough heavy foods and protein laden foods. I can eat anything and most of the times it is ease or whether this has enough protein. I am going to run to the grocery store right now and buy high protein food and snacks. I need to work on my water but it is so hard because I only like drinking while I am eating at the same time and I do not have a choice with the water because I hate juices so I am going to dedicate myself to kicking this because I had this surgery for a reason. Thank you for the reply. And by the way you are looking great by the way.

What procedure did you have? If it was band, you may need another fill.
And I'll agree with the other posts: getting hungry quickly CAN be a result of what kind of foods you ate. I know that the more "substantial" the meal I eat (solid protein like chicken breast instead of chicken salad, for example), the longer I stay feeling full.
But your best bet is doing just what you did - getting into see your doctor!

Hi, Toy!
If you can fit it into your schedule, you may want to come to the support group meeting this coming Mon. night (the 29th) at Middlesex (6:30 - 7:30). Since it's the 5th Mon. of the month, Elina will be leading the group and everything we'll be discussing will be related to nutrition. It might be a quicker way for you to get some answers and advice rather than waiting for an appointment with Dr. A.
Hugs,
Debby
