On the Radio talking about WLS
Hi Everyone,
On Thursday, I was a guest on the Mary Jones show on WDRC-AM. She does an hour a day on women's issues etc. and was actually interviewing me about a new Performing Arts Academy I am director of opening in Middlefield. We were talking about the Dance school, drama, and musical theater classes for pre-k to adults and then during a break she said something about food and I mentioned the surgery...well the next 10 minutes on the air was spent talking about Dr. Aranow and the surgery etc. I don't know if any of you heard it. It was on from 2:45-3:00p.m. She was very interested and wanted to know more and may call Dr. Aranow for an interview and maybe have me back on. I thought it was so cool to get the message out there about what a new life we all lead. I am 3 months post op and down 50lbs. I am sitting here with my laptop from Prince Edward Island, Canada where I am spending the next two weeks. I am sitting at our table looking out at the sunsetting over the ocean. I have a whole new perspective on summer here. I used to come here to eat. Now I am here with my bicycle and hope to get lots of walks on the beach. It is very secluded here and I might even get a tan with my shirt off now!!! Well...thought I would stay in touch this way. I will miss all my friends at Middlesex support for the next couple of weeks, but will be back at the end of the month. Hope everyone is well..
Adam
Hi, Adam!
The next time you're going to be on the radio, please let us know ahead of time so that we'll know to listen.
We missed you Mon. night, especially at dinner. After we finished eating, we were just drinking our waters, etc. and talking and somehow shortly after it was only 9 p.m., it suddenly was after 11 p.m.! Our group is growing...a couple of pre-ops joined us for dinner...everyone had a great time! I don't know how long that will continue considering that we've got so many teachers in the group who'll have to be at work pretty early starting in a few weeks, but we'll see...
I hope that you and Janine have a good time. See you when you get back.
