Good news - a surgery date!

Lois at Dr. Aranow's office called today with the news that my lap-banding procedure has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 24th. The date may have to be pushed back a little in case the pre-op requirements cannot be met in time, but for now it's 90% certain. How exciting! I'm doing the happy dance like crazy and wanted to share my news with everyone, especially the dear regulars at the Middlesex Monday group *****ally support each other (and me!) in the most kind and generous way. It was great to be able to go to the boards and check up on how those who had surgery this week are doing; I've been away for a few days and was getting worried about y'all!

Hi, Mary! Just stopped by the message board to quickly see what's going on before heading to St. Raphael's to visit an elderly friend of the family who's there for a few days (hopefully not longer). I couldn't leave without responding to your post. What wonderful news! I have an appointment with Dr. A. the afternoon of the 24th, so if you are indeed lapbanded that day, I'll come by the hospital after my appointment and see if you're up to having a visitor by then. Do you have an angel yet? BTW, if you'd like me to visit you, please e-mail me your last name so that I'll be able to find out in which room you are. I know I'll probably see you Mon. night at the meeting, but I'll probably forget to ask you then...I'm entering the CRS years (can't remember sh*t). Hugs, Debby

Dear Debby, Thanks so much for your lovely message and good wishes. I'd love to see you on the 24th if you will be in the area. Will keep you posted regarding confirmation of the surgery dates and it's time. I'm always so pleased for others when they get their surgery dates and now know how good it feels to get that call. It's great to be able to share with everyone on the message board as we all travel on the same path. See you Monday for sure. Hey there Mary: Congratulations to you on your date!!!! Welcome to the WLS Family and now your on your way to a wonderful journey to the losing side. The people on this site are so caring and compasionate. You definately came to the right place. We are like one big happy family. I am 7 months postop and I have lost 95lbs, I feel fantastic. I have made alot of wonderful friends on this site, even though I don't get the opportunity to come to the meetings in Middlesex, I still have my support through the site.
