I can't belive it, but it's me
Sorry I have not written anything in a long time but I am very shy (well I use to be I have broken a lot out of that shell). I wanted to thank everyone for their constant support to this site I come every morning to see what's new and look at the food log so that I can have an idea of what to consume and keep myself motivated. In the few months that have gone by I have changed physically so much my kids and my husband don't recognize me. Sometime they have to take a double look to make sure it's me. I went from weighing 264 pounds (visit with Dr. Aranow) to 242 pounds (day of surgery) 152 which is my current weight now and it has not been a year yet it's only has been 8 month. I had clothes in my closet that range from size 24 to 18 and know I have clothes that range from size 7 to 8 depending on the material I am a size medium in shirts and went from a size 9w in shoes to a size 8. I feel healthier than ever am not taking glocophage any more for my sugar no hormone pills for my wacky monthly friend no more knee and back pain. This might be yucky but it's true, I can laugh and cough without going a little on myself. Life has change so much for me that when something goes wrong I swear and am not lying I don't get so upset like I use to. I feel much more happier. If you ask me now would I do it again? (excuse my French) HELL YEA!!! I know I have some hanging skin in my arms, thighs, belly my breast look like fruit roll ups. But I am still happy if I dealt many years with the obesity complications I could deal with hanging skin, beside clothes hide things very well. I Thank GOD and Dr. Aranow for me new life.
Health & Peace
Chica
Hey Chica,
Congratulations to you on your success!!!
You should be so proud of yourself girl, what an accomplishment you have made. Your journey to the losing side is a very successful one and your an inspiration to us all.
Thank you for coming back to the boards and letting us know how your doing. I am almost 7 months postop and I have lost 95lbs. I feel like a totally different person, and the size ranges for me are like they are for you. I am so psyched about getting rid of all my 5x and 32s. I hate those numbers and now I am in a 2x and 20 sometimes 18. I can't wait to see the one digits.
You keep up the good work, and keep in touch with all of us to let us know how your doing.
Hugs
KimC
