Mon. Night Support Group
Hi, All!
This coming Mon. is the 2nd Mon. of the month, so the support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) is for both pre- and post-ops. There'll be general discussion and questions. Although most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, anyone is welcome to attend. If you need directions, please e-mail me.
So, who's planning to go? And who'll be going to dinner afterward? BTW, if you'd rather eat dinner before the meeting, that doesn't mean that you can't go out with us after. You can just get something to drink...even jus****er...the restaurants we go to are very accomodating and don't mind that. If watching us eat doesn't bother you, seeing you not eat doesn't bother us. The point of going out isn't the food...it's the socialization, the additional support we get from one another and the opportunity to get to know each other better. And for you pre-ops, you're welcome to join us, too. Dinner isn't just for the post-ops. How do you think most of us post-ops got to be so close? Besides posting here and e-mailing each other, it's opportunities to spend time together (like the picnic at Harkness Park and dinners after meetings) that have made us good friends. If I hadn't joined in such events as a pre-op, I wouldn't have had the level of support that I did by the time I had my surgery.
Hope to see lots of you Mon. night. Have a good weekend.
Debby
