I'm 4mts out and I am getting about 800 calories a day. I have only lost 62lbs, I was wondering if I'm getting too much calories and carbs. How many carbs and calories do most people get that are still losing? I do exercise 5-6 days a week. Thanks Dee

Depending on the exercise you're doing, you may not be getting enough calories. Or, perhaps you're getting them in the wrong balance. It's hard to say. But, overall 62 lbs in 4 months is pretty darn good, in my book. What was your start wt & how much are you hoping to loose? If you post what your days look like eating and drinking wise and exercise wise, then we should all be able to give more specific pointers, if there is anything you can do differently. Best, Lisa C

Thanks for your response. I walk 3-4 times a week for 45 minutes about 2.5-3 miles each time. I also go to curves for women 2-3 times a week for 30min. I usually drink 64-80oz of water a day. I get about 50-60gms of protein. I eat 2 oz of cheese in the AM an orange for a snack 1 slim fast drink 20grms protein for lunch--4 grms suger a yogurt drink 6 grms protein dinner--chicken, steak, some kind of meat or fi****ry to eat as much protein as I can and have a little salad and some veggies. I also have a decaf coffee with cream and sweet n low. snack on sf pops. Thats most of what I eat. Sometimes I will have a slice of low cal bread and lunch meat--lunch meal. I do take syntroid for my hopothyroid, but thats about it. I started out at 288 and now weigh 225. I would like to get down to 150. I did exercise regularly before my wls in 3/05. Any help would be great. Dee

Honestly, for your start weight and goal weight, I think you're doing great. You seem on track for success. You're still loosing, right? What you're eating seems sensible and within normal limitations. It doesnt seem excessive in calories or too low, based on the exercise you are doing. Perhaps to take a look at is another form of more strenuous exercise than you're doing, which will increase your calories expended. Please be careful with all the 'liquid food' you're takin in- it doesn't satiate hunger, so, that can be a problem in the future. Solid protein is best, whenever possible. Maybe someone else will have an idea for you...but you seem to be doing well, overall. Keep up the good work! Lisa C
